Erro Press signs Beth Morrow’s debut short story collection, “For Our Daughters”
The book features a magical blend of literary fantasy, science fiction, and psychological realism, exploring the complex lives of women.
In For Our Daughters, readers are invited to explore the intricate themes of loss, grief, loneliness, motherhood, familial and romantic relationships, and womanhood. Morrow's flawed female characters skilfully navigate these themes, blurring the lines between reality and imagination, and providing readers with a thought-provoking and captivating experience.
The landscape of For Our Daughters is deeply inspired by Morrow's upbringing in Scotland and a recent experience living in a caravan on the coast of Loch Fyne. The culture, history, and lore of Scotland all play an integral role in the book's setting, adding an extra layer of depth to the characters and their journeys.
